Can I use my Outland Living Fire Table on a screened porch?

Modified on Wed, Aug 17, 2022 at 9:24 AM

We understand that finding a fitting addition to your porch takes time. Our fire tables have been designed, tested and CSA approved for outdoor use only. To ensure your safety, do not use indoors or in an enclosed space. Our fire tables are safe to use outdoors or on screened porches only if the minimum safety clearances are followed. The minimum safety clearances for our fire tables are:

• Bottom: Non-Combustible Surface
• Top: 80 inches
• Sides: 36 inches

Unlike wood-burning outdoor appliances, gas doesn't emit sparks or smoke that can build up behind screens. However, they emit carbon monoxide (CO) and require proper ventilation. This means that you can safely install your fire table on your patio without any problems, as long as you have plenty of fresh air!
