Can I use glass rocks or ceramic logs in the portable fire pit instead of the supplied natural lava rocks?

Our portable fire pits are CSA approved to be operated with the included natural lava rocks.

We can't speak to the safety or functionality of the appliance if used with glass or ceramic alternatives, and they would be used at one's discretion.

Glass and ceramic alternatives are nonporous, which can suffocate the flame instead of enhancing it. The supplied natural lava rocks are light and porous and help create Outland Living's signature vibrant flame. In addition to their impact on performance, the sharp edges of glass rocks can compromise the high-grade enamel finish of our fire pits.
